Brice and Katlyn Romine, of Mentone, Indiana are the 4th generation of farmers in their family.

Brice grew up row crop farming in the Hoosier soil beside his father and grandfather on the family farmstead in Mentone, Indiana. He spent an equal amount of time in the garden and kitchen with his grandmother. After studying hospitality at IUPUI, Brice went into the restaurant and bar industry, living downtown Indianapolis for six years and the Lafayette area for two years. He met Katlyn at a Purdue ballgame.

Katlyn grew up in Jasper County, Indiana, also on a family row crop farm. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing. She began her career as a nurse in the Emergency Department at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana.

After getting married, Brice and Katlyn moved to Mentone, Indiana on the family homestead and now live in their 1887 historical home where Brice’s grandparents once lived. Brice came back to work at the family grain farm full time and Katelyn took a position in the Emergency Department at Parkview Hospital in nearby Warsaw.

They enjoy raising their daughters on the farm and working in what was once Brice’s grandmother’s garden. Eventually their gardening hobby turned into what is now a small produce farm and business.

Luke and taylor, Hoosier natives share a love for business, food and agriculture

South Bend area native, Luke went to Purdue University where he graduated with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management and also a certificate in Entrepreneurship. After graduating he spent three years in South Bend as a craft beer sales rep before moving to Chicago. In Chicago, Luke had the opportunity to be the first sales rep for what is now one of the largest cannabis companies in America.

Always having the entrepreneurial itch, Luke left the cannabis industry after four years to join Brice on the farm and help scale up the business. Now “living his dream” Luke loves the hard work of the farm and being able to scratch his business itch at the same time.

Luke met Taylor at Purdue University. After graduating, Taylor moved to Chicago and Luke followed a year later. After enjoying their time and the food in Chicago they have recently moved back to South Bend and were married in July 2021.

Taylor grew up in Mishawaka where she spent lots of time at the barn with her friends and her show horse, Misty. Taylor graduated with a degree in Agribusiness and holds a position as an International Sales Coordinator for a fertilizer company.

Luke and Taylor enjoy working on real estate and spending time with their two furry kids; Theo the cat and Stella the dog. When they aren’t working they like to spend time with family and friends as well as kayak, bike ride and attend concerts.
